Any suggestions why it's unhappy? I'd like it to be 100Mb, as I want to use the box as a squid cache (among other things) for a couple of clients - 10Mb might get swamped. Now the weird thing is that under Windows 2000 that used to live on the box, it worked fine as a 100Mb connection. (3c905c uses the 3c59x driver from what I've ascertained with googling). Which forces the card to 10Mb I believe, and it all works. I've turned of ACPI in nf and tried various other fixes from surfing the net and searching, but it wouldn't talk to my DHCP server (netgear FVS318) nor talk on the network when manually configured (it also wouldn't work when doing a network install, had to install from images on a USB drive).Īnyway after much googling I've set in /etc/nf: It's up and running fine, but I've had many problems with the 3C905-TX NIC onboard.
